AirMatrix and Robin Radar Launch Integrated CUAS Stack for Swift, Automated Defense

by Keerthana

In a significant step for counter-drone technology, Robin Radar Systems and AirMatrix have announced a unified solution that seamlessly transitions from drone detection to active defense. This partnership merges Robin Radar’s advanced sensing with AirMatrix’s artificial intelligence to create an intelligent, closed-loop system for airspace protection.

The integrated stack is designed to eliminate the critical gap between spotting a potential drone and enacting an effective response. AirMatrix’s AI-driven command platforms are renowned for synthesizing complex data from multiple sources into clear, actionable intelligence for defense and critical infrastructure sectors.

The solution creates a continuous chain of command. It begins with Robin Radar’s IRIS drone radar, which provides long-range, 3D tracking by leveraging micro-Doppler signatures and deep-learning algorithms. This radar data is then fed directly into AirMatrix’s Libra, an AI command layer. Libra intelligently fuses the radar feed with inputs from RF detectors, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) cameras, acoustic sensors, and Remote ID.

This sensor fusion enables the system to automatically classify objects, predict their flight paths, and—within seconds—recommend and trigger tailored countermeasures. The result is a self-prioritizing alert stream that drastically reduces false alarms and prevents operator overload.

Key advantages of the new stack include:

  • AI-Powered Validation: The system intelligently cuts through sensor noise to highlight genuine threats.
  • Rapid Response Interface: Operators can track, verify, and deploy countermeasures from a single, intuitive screen.
  • Built-in Scalability: Modular APIs allow for easy integration with existing security and defense networks.

“Many systems can detect a drone, but very few enable operators to act on that intelligence in real time,” said Ayaan Haider, Co-Founder & CTO of AirMatrix. “By pairing IRIS’s precision with Libra’s autonomous decision engine, we are providing security teams with immediate clarity, speed, and confidence.”

This collaboration marks a strategic shift in CUAS operations, moving the industry from manual interpretation toward automated airspace dominance.
